A Measure of Fit

The sizing guide.

Every piece is finished by hand at the atelier. A careful measurement is the first quiet conversation between you and the dress.

Standard sizing.

All measurements in centimetres. If you sit between two sizes, we recommend the larger — alterations down are kinder than alterations up.

Size Bust Waist Hips EU UK
XS 80 – 83 61 – 64 87 – 90 34 6
S 84 – 87 65 – 68 91 – 94 36 8
M 88 – 91 69 – 72 95 – 98 38 10
L 92 – 96 73 – 77 99 – 103 40 12
XL 97 – 102 78 – 83 104 – 109 42 14

A closer cut.

Corsets sit closer to the body than ready-to-wear. Order by your natural waist, not the corset's stated size.

Size Underbust Natural Waist Upper Hip
XS 68 – 71 59 – 62 82 – 85
S 72 – 75 63 – 66 86 – 89
M 76 – 79 67 – 70 90 – 93
L 80 – 84 71 – 75 94 – 98

Three quiet numbers.

Stand barefoot, in your usual undergarments. Keep the tape parallel to the floor, snug but never pulled tight.

One

Bust.

Measure around the fullest part of the bust, keeping the tape level across your back.

Two

Waist.

The narrowest part of your torso, usually just above the navel. Breathe out softly first.

Three

Hips.

Around the fullest curve, about 20 cm below the natural waist. Feet together.

If in doubt, write to us. We have measured many women from a photograph and a few honest words, and we are glad to do it again.

Couture has no chart.

For couture commissions, every measurement is taken in person at the atelier during your first consultation. There is no chart to consult — only your body, a tape, and the conversation that follows.

A piece of your own begins with a private consultation — one afternoon, one door.
